The next in our series of rap piano riffs is from \u201cChanges\u201d, and it\u2019s so beautiful and iconic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Part of the reason for that is the piano part is actually taken from Bruce Hornsby\u2019s 1986 hit, \u201cThe Way It Is<\/a>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThe riff starts with an A minor chord in 2nd inversion (E-A-C), before moving to an E minor in root position (E-G-B).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then there\u2019s a D sus 4 chord (D-G-A), before resolving to a C sus 2 chord (C-D-G).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The piano riff is also quite slow and sooo pretty. It\u2019s also kinda the star of the song, because once you hear it, you instantly know what the song is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That\u2019s true of all 3 rap piano riffs in this lesson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are a few black keys, but I know you can handle this \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n\n\n\n
