Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ultimate-guitar.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ultimate-guitar.com<\/a> and you can find the chords to most popular songs. To figure out chord shapes on the keyboard, toggle the setting to \u201cpiano\u201d on the chord chart of the song you want to play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chord charts are easy to read. This is an excellent song to learn first because its slow, easy tempo makes it sound fantastic even when you\u2019re first learning. It\u2019s also well-known to most people so your friends and family can sing along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The chords are pretty simple. If you\u2019re very new to piano, you can play fifths instead of full chords. That\u2019s because this song uses both <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pianote.com\/blog\/all-piano-chords\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">seventh chords<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pianote.com\/blog\/jazz-piano-chord-progression\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2-5-1 progression<\/a>, two common elements of jazz. Seventh chords automatically add depth and a touch of fanciness to pop songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns are-vertically-aligned-top is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-top is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>One reason I really love the 2-5-1 progression is because when you use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pianote.com\/blog\/piano-chord-inversions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">inversions<\/a>, the chords fit so nicely under the hand. It helps to know the song very well. Be able to sing it, then change chords when a chord appears on top of a lyric. And trust your ears!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ll find a <strong>Gsus4<\/strong> chord later on.
